Chapter 17: Nightmare

The shrieks of what sounded as total insanity pierced the room. A wailing scream of fear and pain all mixed into a horrifying scream. Natasha almost jumped out of the bed throwing the bed sheets to the side as well as the pillows. Her heart seemed ready to burst out of her chest.
Turning to face the source of the screams she finds Marcus shouting as he flailed his arms wildly in the air, as if looked in a deadly struggle with an invisible opponent. His eyes where shut tight as he tossed and turn swinging wildly at the empty air.
“MARCUS. MARCUS, WAKE UP!!” She screamed at him, but to no avail, Marcus continued locked in his nightmarish struggle.
Out of desperation Natasha pulls back her right hand slaps him as hard as she can across the face. Instantly Marcus jumped out of the bed and into a roll across the floor. Only to be stopped by his bookshelf, which rested against the far wall of his room. Several large TA military encyclopedia books fell on him some even against his head.
“Ahhh, God, not again, not now!” He did not move just curled himself up into almost a ball and rocked slowly in the pile of books that surrounded him.
“It, was only a dream, not real it cannot hurt you.” She walked towards him putting her hand on his shoulder.
“Hehehe, only a dream huh.” He continued his slow rocking movement, not blinking barely even breathing. His voice had become almost a whisper.
“Open my drawer, inside you will find a small prescription medicine bottle, give it to me.” Natasha quickly walked to his desk, and opened the top drawer. Inside she found the bottle, graving it she read the small printed label on it. It read “tranquilex” and it specified a large warning of not to consume any alcohol or any other medication while taking this medication. She immediately remembered reading about it. It was the latest anti depressant and mood stabaliser, developed by Genesis. She also remembered how the drug sometimes affects the body’s adrenalin productions, especially in males. It would cause larger then normal adrenalin build up and it also raised the users heart rate, as well as causing some subjects to feel relaxation of their muscles.
As soon as she gave him the bottle he opened it up and gulped down two white pills. Looking down at him she never had seen him in such a bad shape as this. Whatever it must have been, it sure scared the life out of him. The more she looked at him the more she realized just how badly scared the seemingly almost invincible captain of the 181st really was.
Kneeling amongst the piles of books behind him she hugged him tightly. “Schh, its ok, it’s over, its over.” She gently kissed his right ear, as she continued to hug him.
“She was my everything. Why did she died, after all I did, all I suffered, I killed so many, yet she still died. So much Blood, so much blood I spilled, I killed so many. Do you understand I killed so many for her to survive yet she still died….”? Tears swelled up around his eyes, as if some ancient hidden dam had finally collapsed and its waters had burst forth.
“Its ok, it will be ok, do not worry” All she could do was now hold him as her once invincible captain cried almost hysterically.
“Its not fair…. Give her Back!” Marcus kept crying as he spoke the, tears where now freely flowing.
“GIVE HER BACK!!!” His scream echoed all across the room, she could swear it could even have been heard on the empty vacuum of space.
Natasha tried even harder to calm him down, last thing the crew needed was hearing their captain in his emotional brake down.
“LISTEN TO ME!!” She turned him around to face her, her voice raised but leveled and in firm. “PULL yourself together, what is this, you’re our Captain. Show some GOD DAMN PRIDE.” The shocking words seemed to have awaked him. In an instant Marcus tears were all dried, he just nodded and slowly got to his feet.
“Your right. Your right…” he slowly walked to his bed and sat at its edge.
“Her name was Seilene, she was an angel, on earth, no other woman can compare. Ella era el amor de mi vida. Era todo lo que llo esperava en una mujer, y mas. El amor de mi Vida, nunca pude save it, all that blood all that pain. And yet, se me murio en mis brazos.
