Alliance (TA): Trinity Alliance formed of United States, Britain and Canada.

EAP: Consists of Europe, and all of Asia.

Genesis: The organization responsible for the creation of the MF, also the organization that is sponsoring the Azure Cup Tournament.

Frame: An advancement in technology. An assault armor-like machine that’s form typically resembles that of a human frame, 2 arms and 2 legs with a head. There are a few Frames that have more than 2 legs as well. These giant robots are piloted by skilled soldiers; the weapons vary from Frame to Frame as it is up to the pilot to choose a weapon.

AR: Stands for After Rebirth, new timeline that governs years for humanity.

AT: Armored Tank, not quite an MF but more armored than a tank and usually half the size of an MF.

Energy Saber: A type of weapon for an MF, it is like a sword but a concentrated beam of energy instead of an iron blade. Two energy sabers are able to be connected to create a dual energy saber.

Energy Rifle: Another main weapon for an MF uses concentrated energy as a round of ammo.

Rail Cannon: A hybrid weapon using a massive solid shell that explodes upon release which then unleashes a devastating beam of energy. It is a cannon that is often used for sniping and is mainly connected to the back of the MF as a back up weapon.

Laser Cannon: Another type of back mounted cannon that like an energy rifle fires high velocity rounds of energy onto a target.

Bazooka: A solid shell weapons that fires high velocity rockets onto a target. They are power and extremely devastating.

Assault Rifle: Standard solid shell rifle for an MF; fires quick spurts of shells onto a target, bullets themselves aren’t too powerful, they tend to be more accurate then an energy round.

Grenade Launcher: A heavy hitting weapon that can either be in the form of a back mounted cannon or a smaller rifle. Fires massive shells that explode on impact, they do 5x the amount of damage than a normal grenade.

Energy Lance: A close range melee weapon like the energy saber. Only this weapon is a long staff with a thin more focused beam of energy emanating at the top; Very powerful.

Energy Boomerangs: A newly developed weapon which allows for long range attacks. It is a thin metallic boomerang; the only difference is that at the end of each tip is a port that sends a thin beam of energy to the other tip. When thrown the weapon approaches its target in a curved trajectory and always flies back to its point of launch.

Head Unit: Main source of information for an MF. The head unit acts as a camera for the display screens located in the cockpit. The main computer for an MF is located here; the radar system is also located in the head unit.

Core Unit: The most important part of an MF, the cockpit is located here hidden beneath a good amount of armor.

Arm Units: The arms for the MF, capable of carrying the weapons.

Leg Units: Come in a variety of designs, either bipedal (2), quadruped (4), sextuple (6), or octagonal (8), along with threads for tank-like legs. Usually either lightly armored, medium armored, or heavily armored.

Generator: Main battery of an MF. All the energy required for the MF to perform its functions is found here.

Boosters/Thrusters: These are what cause the MF to fly at great speeds. The boosters/thrusters are powered by the generator and ignite a flame of energy to send the MF into the air or to give the MF a boost of speed while running on the surface.

FCS: Fire Control System, without this the pilot would have to manually lock onto his or her target. This computer controlled system controls the lock on mechanism for every weapon on the MF.

Radiator: Powered by the generator to cool the internal parts off. If the radiator malfunctioned then the MF would over heat and malfunction.

Radar: Usually found in the head unit of an MF, is responsible for 3d visuals of area layouts, along with detecting enemies around the area. MF is blind with out it.
